Artist Information Ray Nelson - Ray Nelson is a glassblower who creates unique and unusual hand blown glass art at his Silver Lake Studios. Hand blown art glass vases, bowls, vessel sinks, mushrooms, Christmas ornaments, perfume bottles and paperweights. Ray studied at Cleveland Institute of Art and did internships including Pennland School of Crafts. Ray's work derives from classical pottery. He is influenced by the natural things around him like birds and mushrooms and the lake. Elizabeth Nelson - Elizabeth Nelson designs blown glass and fused glass jewelry with sterling silver findings. She has her own studio at Silver Lake Studios where she works on her jewelry and fused glass. She was educated at Edinboro University where she majored in fine art. She incorporates her love of nature and organic forms into unique pendants, earrings, hairpins and other unusual jewelry. |
