Additional Information: Fascinated by the history of glass making, techniques and traditional forms, Jeremie is drawn to the hot side of glass. “I wish to educate people about the process and history of glass blowing, to participate in expanding and developing the fledgling studio glass movement.” Under the tutelage of Che`Rhodes, Jeremie became a passionate student of glass, curious about the most primitive processes of Roman & Egyptian forms and honoring the great traditions of Italian color decoration. er influences are Lino Tagliapietra, Stanislav Libensky and Jaroslave Brychotva, Fritz Dreisbach, William Gudenrath, Mary Schaffer, William Morris, Andy Goldsworthy and Javacheff Christo. A central Illinois native, Jeremie received her B.F.A. in Glass from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2002. She was a Rickert- Ziebold winner in spring ’02. She had the privilege to travel and work with other glass blowers in Oregon & Washington before moving back to IL. She currently launched a home décor line with Echo Valley Meats and her work can be viewed locally at Lakeview Museum, Relics, Moon Dancer Grand Prairie and Exhibit A Gallery. |
