Tony Patti's Most Magnificent Custom Blowpipe made by John Steinert of Steinert Industries

John Steinert runs Steinert Industries, and was awarded with the 2012 Honorary Glass Arts Society Lifetime Membership Award.

I've had the pleasure to meet John Steinert at the Glass Art Society Conferences, and even had my photo taken with him here,
yeah, he's kind of a rock star in the world of glassblowing.

So, when I tell you, this man can make an awesome custom glassblowing blowpipe, I hope you believe me!

Below are photos of the custom blowpipe which John Steinert made for me November 2012, it has the following custom features:
  • Custom size head 1.75" (stock sizes are 1.5" and 2")
  • 18 inches of knurling to make gripping the blowpipe easier when hands are wet/slippery.
This is the feature which I was most looking forward to in this new blowpipe.
  • extra-large two-color grip, again for the purposes of easier gripping
  • Heavy-weight 304 stainless steel shaft with a wall thickness of 1/8"
  • Delrin mouthpiece
  • stop collar
  • blowpipe hose extension (not shown in photos below)
